At Arab Academy, we work hard to ensure our students are successful, but don’t take our word for it. Each month we’ll spotlight one of our language learning students and their experience with Arab Academy. Our students hail from all over the world and take our courses for various reasons. This month you’ll meet Arab Academy student Mary Flakes and how she benefited from Arab Academy.
Why did you choose to learn Arabic?
For personal reasons, tourism, travel, etc. Arabic helps me to communicate with the locals when I’m traveling to other Arab countries.
Why did you choose to learn at Arab Academy?
I liked the Arab Academy website, and the quick and professional replies from the customer support team especially Hanan. The price fit in my budget as well.
How has learning Arabic impacted your life?
I have gained more confidence speaking to the locals and find that I am less stressed.
Has Arab Academy changed or impacted your life in any other way? If so, how?
I have gained a newfound respect for the Egyptian people and their method of teaching. I was able to learn more about the Egyptian (Muslim) culture through my teachers’ eyes. I enjoyed interacting with the other students as well.
How is Arab Academy unique compared to other language centers and online courses you have tried?
Arab Academy offered a cultural component with field trips to see Museums, Mosques, etc.
What would you tell someone who is interested in learning Arabic, but hasn’t yet tried it out?
The best way to learn any language is through practice and repetition. The alphabet may seem strange at first, but it gets easier.
