How Do I Sign Up for the Immersion Arabic Program?

What is the Duration of the Program?

We offer five different immersion Arabic programs that are 4, 16, and 32 weeks long. Shorter programs are also available and can be arranged at a rate of US $13 per hour.

How Much Does the Program Cost?

Students receive 20 hours per week of language instruction in each program. The 4-week session costs US $990, the 16-week session is US $3,366, and the 32-week session is US $5,940. Lodging, food, airfare, and transportation are not included in these figures.

Students enrolled in a semi-annual subscription at Arab Academy can receive bonus free hours on their Arabic immersion program trip when they renew their subscription.

What Does the Program Entail?

Each program includes four hours of classroom instruction, five days a week (Sunday–Thursday). Each hour is dedicated to one skill: vocabulary, listening, reading, comprehension, or speaking.

Where Will Instruction Take Place?

All lessons are conducted in person on the Arab Academy campus, right in the heart of Cairo, Egypt.

Where is Arab Academy Located?

Arab Academy is located in Garden City, Cairo—the city’s cultural and diplomatic hub. We’re situated near the American and British embassies and just a short walk from the Egyptian Museum, along with a variety of restaurants and shops.

What Happens When I Get There?

Students will first complete their application and meet with the program coordinator to assess their learning needs. If you already have a background in Arabic, you’ll take a placement test to ensure you’re in the right level.

You’ll also be introduced to your instructors and the administrative team at the Academy.

Will I Go on Any Guided Tours or is My Stay Self-Guided?

While the program itself is focused on language instruction, students are encouraged to explore Cairo and its surroundings on their own during free time. The real-world application is what makes this one of the best Arabic immersion programs available.

How Do I Get Information About the Area?

Every student will receive an orientation manual that includes recommended attractions, restaurants, and transportation tips to help them navigate and enjoy the city.
