Our Arabic for kids programs are a great way for kids between kindergarten and fifth grade to learn Arabic online. Each program is based on short stories. Young learners start with learning the alphabet and then learn to speak Arabic by working through age-appropriate situations. Our Arabic for kids curriculum uses stories and interesting puzzles to teach about important topics such as jobs, colors, numbers, foods, outings, and animals.

Toutou
The first course is designed for young children who do not know the Arabic script or sound system. Children will learn the Arabic alphabet, words, and basic sentence structures. Each lesson presents three or four new letters or is a review of previous letters. Students are introduced to vocabulary composed only of the letters they’ve already learned. Once students feel comfortable with their progress, they can move on to the next lesson.
Sameh
Our Sameh course builds on the previous lesson to strengthen the students’ foundation of the Arabic alphabet and vocabulary. Young children who have already learned the Arabic alphabet can start with this lesson. It reviews the Arabic alphabet and introduces additional vocabulary that is relevant to the student’s age. Children focus on reading and writing words related to the world around them. They see the character Loulou be at home, go to school, and work on a farm and garden.
Guess-Fruits and Vegetables
This is the first lesson in a series of three courses that are based on guesswork. Students are given descriptions of various fruits and vegetables and must correctly identify each one in Arabic. This helps students to learn the names and characteristics of the different types of fruits and vegetables, as well as how to ask questions about them. This course requires the active involvement of students, which greatly increases their retention.
Stories-Fruits and Vegetables
Our first story course focuses on fruits and vegetables and can be completed with or after the Guess—Fruits and Vegetables lesson. Using their knowledge from the previous fruits and vegetables lesson, students are ready to hear and understand a story about these foods. The stories also reinforce already learned vocabulary, along with introducing new words to guide children on their Arabic language learning journey.
Guess-Animals
In our second guess-based course, students learn about birds and animals. Similar to the fruits and vegetables course, children will guess each animal based on the descriptions they are given. This teaches young children how to describe animal colors and sizes, where each animal lives, animal body parts, and whether the animal is tame or wild.
Stories-Animals
This Arabic for kids course can be completed with or after Guess — Animals. After learning how to correctly describe and talk about different animals and birds, students progress to hearing a story about them. The story helps to reinforce vocabulary and teach more new words.
Let’s Play
Our Let’s Play lesson is designed for young children who can read and write but need more reinforcement. It presents scenes with children playing, drawing, writing, reading, walking, visiting the zoo, eating at a restaurant, and being at home. The course further develops students’ vocabulary by adding words related to situations they may encounter.
Characteristics of Young People
Using funny stories and interactive exercises, this course teaches children how to control and express their different feelings. They are given useful vocabulary words related to expressing feelings. With eight engaging stories, we cover the following characteristics of young people:
- Fear
- Boredom
- Aggression
- Pretending to know something when you don’t
- Anxiety
- Being too quiet
- Liking to do the opposite of what people tell you
- Being active or being lazy
Guess Jobs
The third and final course in our guessing series focuses on teaching students about different professions. Young children learn what adults do for work, what they wear, and the tools they use. This lesson builds on well-established vocabulary and broadens conversation topics.
Manners
In the Manners course, we teach children about the cause and effect of different actions. Students are presented with ten different stories. Five show how negative actions lead to unwanted situations, and the other five show how positive actions can bring happiness. The entertaining characters show children what happens to the characters based on their actions. The positive characteristics addressed in this course are:

- Clever
- Intelligent
- Loyal
- Truthful
The negative characteristics addressed in this course are:
- Foolish
- Obstinate
- Liking to show off
- Greedy
- Lazy
Unpleasant Characteristics
This Arabic for kids course is composed of 12 funny stories about a duck and a rabbit. The duck always does the right things and the rabbit always does the wrong things. Children learn through the stories to distinguish between good actions and bad ones. They learn that doing good things can bring happiness and success. These stories continue to further students’ vocabulary of specific situations.
Adventures
In our adventure-themed Arabic for kids lesson, children are not only learning to speak, read, and write Arabic but are also learning important age-appropriate life lessons. We use eight short stories to teach these lessons. Some examples of the stories include teaching them to be cautious while talking to strangers, to treat animals with kindness, to care about friends when they are sick, and to take medicine when it is prescribed for them.
Animals in the Forest
This course is composed of ten stories. The stories take place in the forest, each with a different animal as a hero. The stories promote important values as well as teach vocabulary to describe these values. Some of the values that are taught include recognizing that everybody is important and that being honest and fair is important.
Animal’s World
In our animal worlds course, children view the world through the eyes of animals and learn important concepts. We use ten short stories to teach concepts and vocabulary about helping people, respecting different kinds of people, being responsible, and being accountable for your actions.
Village of Peace
Our Village of Peace lesson features one short story about how people can live happily when they cooperate. It indicates how difficult life can be when people live alone and don’t get help from neighbors or offer to help them. Students should be able to use vocabulary and themes they learned in previous lessons to understand and relate to the story in this course.
Juha
Our final lesson in the Arabic for kids program is a group of simplified short stories based on famous Arab folk tales. It is based on Juha, a funny personality who commits several humorous and stupid actions. Somehow, through his unwitting actions, messages of wisdom are conveyed. The stories of Juha are popular among children and adults in the Arab world. They form part of Arab culture, and reference to them is frequent. Children learn the language and culture and benefit from the wisdom in the stories.
