I am writing you today as part of a 14-month research project being conducted for the U.S. Navy Education and Training Command in Pensacola, Florida. This research is being conducted by the University of New Orleans and its sub-contractor, ACGE, Inc. (a non-profit consortium of American Universities and Colleges).
This research - the Defense Language Distance Learning Capabilities Assessment Project (DLDLCAP) is intended to identify innovative second language acquisition programs, and to determine why and how they are innovative. The goal of the research is to make some determination and recommendations to the Department of Navy regarding the efficacy of the innovations.
