Registered Students Asking Questions about Getting Started and Course Requirements

1. I have registered for a course but have not received my user name and password, what do I do?

Please go to the log in page. From there, click on “I forgot my password”. Then enter the email you used to register for the course. You will receive an email with your password at your email address. If you have entered your email incorrectly while registering, then you will not get your passwords. You will need to contact us directly to help you. Contact our registrar at registrar@arabacademy.com, so that we can make sure you get your passes as soon as possible.

2. How do I know where to begin on the course?

We provide you with a detailed user guide, which you can access through your classroom homepage. Another useful button, specific to each individual learning session, is the "How to Use" link, which will give you an overview of the lesson and how to proceed through it.

3. Is the final test comprehensive?

Yes, the final exam is a comprehensive test which covers all the material taught in the course.

4. Is there a practice test I can take?

We do not currently have a practice test, but we do provide you with a sample test that you can go through. To access the sample test, go to the Final exam area.

5. How do I select the day/time I will take my final exam, and is it necessary to keep this appointed time?

Yes, you need to reserve the time of the test from the link of the final exam, because the exam is proctored by a teacher. You can choose any time you wish, however, if you need to change the time please make sure you let us know, so that we can notify the teachers.

6. All I have to have for taking the test is a computer and internet connection, correct? Is there anything else?

In addition, you will need to have SKYPE installed on your computer so that your teacher can speak with you when needed. The idea is to give you a proctored test. You can download SKYPE for free from (www.skype.com)

7. I have finished a course and taken the final exam, what do I do next?

Once you have completed the final exam for a course, make sure you fill out a course evaluation form, and then you can mark your course as completed. You are now ready to move on to the next level.

8. I have successfully completed a course - how do I register for the next level?

Once you have completed a course (make sure you have filled an evaluation and marked the course as completed), and would like to register for the next level of course, please do the following:

- From the homepage, click on the "registrar" link;

- Then click the link which says, "Control panel: Activate passwords for courses that you are registered in but have not accessed yet;"

- Next, enter your first name and email address that you used when you registered with Arab Academy and click "Go;"

- This will take you to a page where you can select the next course level and click "activate the courses and send me my passwords."
