Types of the Arabic Language Proficiency Test

Arabic Language Proficiency Test (ALPT): Online Format

Arab Academy's online Arabic Language Proficiency Test (ALPT) is administered in a Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) format. There are numerous advantages to the CAT format, including:

	Providing uniformly precise scores for test-takers of all abilities. In contrast to CAT tests, standard fixed tests almost always provide the best precision for test-takers of medium ability and increasingly poorer precision for test-takers with more extreme test scores.
	Maintaining an adequate level of precision despite being significantly shorter in length than a fixed version. Test-takers do not waste their time attempting items that are too hard or trivially easy.
	Results are calculated immediately after testing since assessment is computer-based.
	Exam integrity is preserved, because each test-taker receives questions specific to his/her abilities; students sitting next to each other taking the exam will not have the same version of the test, thus opportunities for cheating are effectively minimized.

Arabic Language Proficiency Test (ALPT): Paper-Based Format

Arab Academy also offers its innovative online Arabic Language Proficiency Test (ALPT) in a traditional paper format. Testing centers that are not equipped with computers connected to the internet may give our ALPT in paper format.

Our paper-based ALPT is composed of the same content as our online ALPT. It is administered only at registered Arabic Language Proficiency (ALPT) Testing Centers in certain countries.
