About Arab Academy: Learn Arabic Language Online. Arabic Language Courses and Proficiency Tests

1. What are the fees for my school/university to use your program?

Fees for a school to use our program depend on the number of students that the school plans to register to use the program. Please see our website for a comprehensive list of institutional fees.

2. Our school does not have an Arabic language program, but we are interested in using your program as a distance learning course. Is the registration process different?

No, the registration process is the same as it would be if your school did have an Arabic language program. You will still receive the same special rates we offer institutions, even though you do not have an Arabic language program at your school. You will need to have a teacher oversee the students' use of the program, however. For information and rates regarding registration, please refer to our registration page.

3. Do you provide teacher training, even if our school is not located in Egypt?

If you are located in Egypt, teacher training is available by a member of our staff. If you are not located in Egypt, you can use our online demo, or our online User's Guide to train your teachers to use the program. Program use is relatively straight-forward, although it requires some knowledge of computers and internet navigation in order to achieve the best results.

4. How do we register our teachers?

Log on to the website using your administrative user name and password, and then select the appropriate school period. Click on "Registration of teachers and students," which will take you to the main registration page. Enter your user name and password again at the top of the page, and then enter the teacher's information in the spaces below. When you reach the field "Register As" select "Teacher (open all courses)" from the drop-down menu.

5. How do we monitor our teachers' usage of the program?

You can monitor your teachers by selecting "Detailed Report on Teachers" (Part 1 and 2), as well as a report at the end of a term "End of Term Report on Teachers." This will show what classes the teacher has taught, how often students have been using the program (and when), as well as what homework/activities were assigned. For more information, please see our Student Tracking Users Guide, which you can access once your school has been registered.

6. What are the technical specifications we need to meet in order to use your program?

Please see our technical requirements list for a list of software needed to run our program. Most of these programs can be downloaded for free online, and then used in or outside the classroom, in text or online.

7. If we have limited technical capabilities, can we still use your program? program? (For example, if we do not have a computer lab at our school)

Many schools with limited technical capabilities are reluctant to use our program. If you do not have computer labs to accommodate all of your students, labs can be used by teachers for instruction, using our program as a supplement to your curriculum inside the classroom. Our programs can also be used in textbook format, as our curricula and materials are specially designed for schools. Schools may subscribe to the program and print materials for use inside and outside of the classroom.

8. If we have any problems, who do we contact?
